I am in a dark place again

Stuff I need to do:
1. Write a new 15 minute set for a show on Saturday. It's a pre-election show, so Keren invited me to join in as I used to do a lot of political jokes. Only 2 days left to write. Actually, I basically only have a couple hours tomorrow and Saturday to write and no time to try out my jokes. I have zero words and zero ideas so far and the worst thing is I have no idea how to do political comedy right now.

2. Tonight, all the comics are meeting to record videos calling for young people to vote. I feel like going because I haven't seen my comedy buddies in awhile but I also feel like not going because I have no video ideas. Unless I write the script in the next hour or so, I won't be participating.

3. The podcast is basically on hold until I clear all the standup stuff off my plate. I suck at juggling. I need to either get that back on track or give up on it again. I feel like I'm doing with podcasts what I did with blogs last time - I just start and abandon them. I guess everything is experimental but I do feel guilty about it.

Two nights ago, my wife was falling asleep while scrolling on her phone, and I took a video of this thing that happens almost every night - she would fall asleep, I would try to take the phone out of her hand, and she'd wake up and grab the phone back and keep scrolling for about 3 seconds. Uh oh, I have GAS

Okay, this post is about video and audio equipment and it's going to get geeky and I apologise for that. Years ago, if you wanted to record yourself on video, you could either use your phone or a camera, but neither one is perfect. If you moved at all, the footage would be shaky unless you put your phone/camera on a gimbal, but then that whole contraption would be heavy and bulky and attract way too much attention. Then someone figured out that you could just use an action camera, particularly the GoPro Hero 7 Black. It was tiny, waterproof camera with great electronic stabilization that could record in 4K. But it overheated easily, so you mostly shot in lower resolutions and even then, it would sometimes freeze up for no reason and you would lose your recorded footage. I stopped procrastinating and it wasn't so bad

Okay, I wrote my roast jokes. I hope it's enough for tonight. As always, I should have done this days ago, so that I didn't have to be so high strung the past few days. First round is against Mike, and if I win that, the 2nd round is against the winner of the Nat-Mikhail matchup. I only needed 4 jokes each, but I panicked and wrote a few extra just in case. I love my friends and I don't mean any of these things, but here's what I wrote... Vs MIKE SADDI Mike once auditioned for the role of a Klingon in a Star Trek movie and got rejected. They said his forehead was too big.
